What a beautiful quote from Karl Menninger! But I must admit the one that stopped me in my tracks was the second, perhaps less poetic one by M. Scott Peck.I believe that whole-heartedly. It calls to my mind the whole argument about driving and talking on the phone. Either folks are doing just that – talking, not listening – or, they aren't really driving. Hmmm.
